What is Tezos?

Tezos is a delegated proof-of-stake cryptocurrency. More info on Tezos official website.

What is delegation and how does it differe from transactions?

Delegation is an operation on the Tezos blockchain that does not change ownership of your assets. Your funds will always be under your control.

Do you have control over my Tezos (XTZ) or my private key?

No, when you delegate you won't be sending any funds to us. You will always be in possess of your private keys.

How do I delegate?

You can use a Tezos wallet client to set your delegate to our baker. We suggest Galleon or via Ledger Live.

How long do I have to wait before receiving my first rewards?

Once you have successfully delegated, you will have to wait 12 cycles (about 34 days) for your first payout.

Afterward, you will receive payments from us every cycle.

Why do I have to wait for so long?

The current cycle’s baking rights are picked 7 cycles ago, and the baking rewards are frozen for an additional 5 cycles.

Can I change my delegate? Is there any penalty?

You can change the delegate at any time, without any penalty.
